Arrival of Our Third Fully Automated 400 tonne Robotic Die Casting Cell

R D Castings is pleased to announce the installation of our third fully automated 400‑tonne robotic die casting cell.

Equipped with the latest closed-loop injection technology and Integrated quality control monitoring, this new cell will significantly enhance product quality and consistency whilst supporting our target of up to 70% reduction in electrical consumption, supporting our commitment to a more sustainable manufacturing future.

Its larger 400‑tonne capacity, compared with our existing fully automated 280‑tonne machines, enables us to take on larger and more complex projects and access new markets that were previously beyond our scope

The new cell is expected to increase output by up to 40–60% versus the equipment it replaces. It will also allow R D Castings to operate 24/7 when required, strengthening our ability to secure and deliver larger contracts.

This project has been part-funded by Suffolk County Council by way of the Suffolk Economy Grant, and we are grateful for their support in helping us expand our capabilities in the region.
